1987 – graduated from Sambir Pedagogical College in Lviv Region.

From August 1987 to September 2004, she worked as a primary school teacher. She received the highest category.

2003 – graduated from Prykarpattia National University with a degree in Primary Education.

2007 – graduated from the Drohobych Faculty of Postgraduate Education with a degree in Biology, Ecology, and Environmental Health.

In 2008, she defended her thesis in the specialty 13.00.01 “Pedagogy and History of Pedagogy” on the topic “Didactic Foundations of Textbook Development in Natural Sciences and Mathematics for Primary Schools in Ukraine” (1958–1991). Received a candidate of sciences diploma.

From September 2004 to April 2006, worked as an assistant at the Department of Pedagogy and Methods of Primary School.

From April 2006 to May 2009, she worked as a senior lecturer at the Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences for Primary Education.

From May 2009 to June 2015, she worked as an associate professor at this department.

In June 2015, she received the title of associate professor in the Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences in Primary Education, where she works and teaches “Methods of Teaching Natural Sciences” and “Fundamentals of Natural Sciences.”

In 2021, she defended her doctoral dissertation on the topic: “Theoretical and Methodological Foundations of Natural Science Education for Primary School Students.”

In 2022, she received the title of professor of the Department of Professional Methods and Technologies of Primary Education.

  • Lesya Vysochan successfully completed the online course “Theoretical Foundations of Competence-Based Learning in the Integrated Course ‘I Explore the World’,” comprising 24 academic hours, on February 8, 2025.

Lesya Vysochan teaches the courses “Methodology of science education”, “Textbook development in primary education”, “Actual problems of teaching subjects of science and mathematics in primary school”, “Peculiarities of conducting lessons in a small school” manages course and master’s theses.Lesya Vysochan created and manages the student scientific group “We and Nature”. Within the scope of the group’s work, students prepare projects and conduct scientific research. The results of scientific work with students are the participation of members of the circle in scientific conferences, scientific and methodical seminars.
