In 1996, graduated from the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian University.

In 1996–1997 – teacher of mathematics at Nadvirna Physics and Mathematics Lyceum.

In 1997–2003 – postgraduate study at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University. Since 2003 – assistant professor of the Department of Theory and Methodology of Primary Education. In 2005, defended PhD thesis.

Since 2011 – assistant professor of the Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Primary Education.

In 2021, defended Doctor of Sciences thesis «Methodical System of Forming Computing Skills in Primary School Students» in the specialty «Theory and Methods of Teaching (Mathematics)».

From 2022 – Professor of the Department of Professional Methods and Technologies of Primary Education

From January 1, 2023 – Head of the Department of Primary Education.
From September 1, 2024 to the present – Head of the Department of Primary Education and Educational Innovations.

She is a member of the editorial board of the peer-reviewed professional journal «Mountain School of the Ukrainian Carpathians». By Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 1065 dated July 25, 2025, she was appointed to the expert group in pedagogy and methods of primary education. Since October 2025, she has been the guarantor of the educational and professional program of the second (Master’s) level of higher education in the specialty «Primary Education».

Is the author of 150 articles and methodological works in mathematics and methods of teaching mathematics in elementary school. Member of the Scientific Council of the Pedagogical Faculty, member of the Methodological Council of the Faculty, member of the Methodological Council of the University.

In 2019, successfully completed the training program within the framework of the EU Erasmus + KA2 project «Modernizing Higher Teacher Education using Innovative Teaching Instruments (MoPED)» (No. 586098-EPP-1-2017-1-UA-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP) and has been using innovative teaching technologies in teaching her subjects  to  university students.

In 2021, underwent an internship at the Institute of Educational and Professional Development (Budapest, Hungary) on the topic «The latest educational trends in the modern information space and research. European experience and practice» (180 hours, 6 credits).

Completed an internship at Kherson State University (Ukraine) from March 24 to May 2, 2025, Certificate №. 19-25/11. Topic: «Modern Approaches to Organizing Distance and Blended Learning in the Training of Future Educators in the Context of Contemporary Challenges». 6 ECTS credits (180 hours).

Completed an internship at the State Academy of Applied Sciences in Chełm (Republic of Poland) from April 28 to June 6, 2025. Topic: «Modern Teaching Methods and Innovative Technologies in Higher Education: European Experience». 6 ECTS credits (180 hours).

Is actively involved in volunteering, charitable and community activities. Collaborates with the Center for Educational Innovation and is the head of a workshop for young students.  Since 2018, she has been teaching on a volunteer basis at the Third Age University for older learners.

For achievements in the field of science and education in 2015 was awarded the diploma of Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Department of Education and Science.

In 2020, was awarded a diploma on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University (for high professionalism and conscientious work).

In 2021, was awarded a diploma of the Department of Education and Science of Ivano-Frankivsk City Council for a significant contribution to the development of innovative education in Ivano-Frankivsk and the training of winners of All-Ukrainian competitions and Olympiads.

In 2022 – was recognized by the Department of Education and Science of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council for her high professionalism, introduction of innovative technologies and development of STEM competencies.

In 2023 – was awarded a diploma for her active volunteer work at the University of the Gifted Child, organizing and conducting meaningful master classes for students of Ivano-Frankivsk, introducing innovative methods and forms of education and upbringing into the educational process.

In 2024 – was awarded a diploma from the university administration and trade union committee for many years of conscientious work, significant personal contribution to the training of highly qualified specialists in the field of pedagogical sciences and on the occasion of a personal jubilee.

In 2024 – was awarded the gratitude of the Department of Education and Science of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council for significant contribution to the development of educational innovations, the formation of STEM competencies, and the creative abilities of students and on the occasion of a personal anniversary.

In 2025, she was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Institute of Pedagogy of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine for her significant contribution to the implementation of the innovative educational program «Country of Knowledge», professional support of teachers, organization of educational events, and active promotion of the development of modern primary education in Ukraine.

In 2025, she was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Department of Education and Science of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration for many years of conscientious work, high professionalism, the development of pedagogical education, and a significant personal contribution to the education and upbringing of student youth.

Co-organizer of the actions «Become an angel», «Merry Christmas in the heart», a volunteer of the charity fund «You-Angel».

Since 2018, has been teaching at the University of the Third Age on a volunteer basis.

Scientific activities: 

Ruslana Romanyshyn works on problems of formation of mathematical competence of future elementary school teachers, psychological-didactic and neurophysiological principles of teaching mathematics to elementary school students, is the author of the methodical system of formation of computational skills in primary school students.

Organizational activities:

January 14, 2020 – December 29, 2022 – Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Education for Research.

From January 1, 2023 – Head of the Department of Primary Education.

From September 1, 2024 to the present – Head of the Department of Primary Education and Educational Innovations.

Educational activities:

Ruslana Romanyshyn teaches the course «Methods of Teaching the Educational Field of Mathematics» and specialized courses: «Methods for Solving Problems with Logical Load», «Atypical Methods for Solving Mathematical Problems», «Formation of Computing Competence of the Future Elementary School Teacher».

Since 2018, she has been teaching at the Third Age University on a volunteer basis.

Author of more than 140 scientific and methodological works on pedagogy and methods of teaching mathematics.

Supervised 110 student research papers, published in the materials of regional, national and international conferences in Ivano-Frankivsk, Kolomyya, Cherkassy, Kherson.

  • Formation of subject mathematical competence in primary school students (Ivano-Frankivsk)
  • Topical issues of methods of teaching mathematics in primary school (Kolomyia).
